The 3rd Annual Wine and Trotter Festival, is taking place at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds on June 6, 2015.
The Fairgrounds are located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley just off of Interstate 81 (Exit 283) in Woodstock, Virginia. Thirty miles north of Harrisonburg, thirty-five miles south of Winchester, and less than Ninety miles from Northern Virginia and Washington DC.
This event will offer four afternoon Harness Races, as well as tastings from numerous wineries and vineyards from the Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail. In the Fairs 98 year history, this is the only time that Harness Racing is held other than during the County Fair. The Wine and Trotter Festival is the only festival in Virginia to host Wine Tastings with Harness Races and each year we have continued to grow. With our new date in June we find that the Festival is not competing with the numerous events that occur in May. We hope you can make plans to be a part of this fun filled afternoon.
With ten vineyards present, four harness races, great music, wonderful food, unique vendors, and a wonderful previous response from customers, we anticipate over 1000 in attendance for this 3rd great year. With tasting tents, picnic shelters, and a covered Grandstand even the rain can't stop this exciting event.
We are taking Vendor applications now. Spaces are very affordable. If you have any questions, please contact Dawn Burch at the Fair Office at 540-459-3867.
The Shenandoah County Fair is the oldest and largest fair in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. Featuring world-class grandstand entertainment, harnesss racing, agricultural and community exhibitions, beauty pageant and much, much more. Located just off I-81 in Woodstock, Virginia.
